Some of the budget for kidulthood was funded by the uk film council, the uk film council awarded kidulthood £10,000 to help fund for their film. the uk film council also awarded kidulthood £76,295 for the Distribution and Exhibition of the film.
In order for Kidulthood to gain this they have to fill out a form to see if they get granted the funding money, they need to be a british film or have a certain amount of actors to pass, also the setting if it is mostly set in the uk it passes as an british film.

Kidulthood had a production budget of 600,000 even though the director Menhaj Huda wanted a budget of 800,000. They made the film on the low budget of 600,000. The director found it hard to get finance from a production company, as the film Kidulthood is a social realism film this would have made it hard for them to get money, also the company that help stealth was a new company this also would have made it hard kidulthood was stealth's first film.
However apart from stealth company 2 other companys helped

Editing
This is a Moviol it was the first machine for motion picture editing when it was invented by Iwan Serrurier in 1924.The Moviola allowed editors to study individual shots in their cutting rooms, thus to determine more precisely where the best cut-point might be. The vertically-oriented Moviolas were the standard for film editing in the United States until the 1970s when horizontal flatbed editor systems became more common. The name was derived from the name “Victrola” since Serrurier thought his invention would do for home movie viewing what the Victrola did for home music listening (The Moviola even came in a beautiful wooden cabinet similar to the Victrola's). But since the machine cost $ 600 in 1920 (equivalent to $ 20,000 today), very few sold.Nevertheless, a few very high-profile filmmakers continue to prefer the Moviola. Not least on this list is editor Michael Kahn famous for his work with Steven Spielberg. In fact, given the motion picture industry's accelerating trend toward digitization, Mr. Kahn may have given this classic piece of equipment its last hurrah in 2005 when Spielberg's Munich received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing.
Now at the present day we have digitally advanced film editing. Today most films will be edited on systems such as Imovie or more advanced programmes such as final cut pro. These new decives that are used to edit films are simple and fun to use. As like the Moviola using final cut pro it not a cutting and sticking proccess used by hands, its is all done on a computer which makes it easy to do. Today with the advance in technology, we can use programmes to edit such as,
-Imovie, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Elements, Final Cut Express, Movavi, Xpress Pro, Cyberlink Power Director, Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Sony Vegas Pro, Avid Technology, AVS Video Editor and many more, the are a wide range of programmes that can be used to edit, all a range from simple programmes to more advanced for regualr users.

Horizontal Intergration
Definition...The term horizontal integration describes a type of ownership and control. It is a strategy used by a business or corporation that seeks to sell a type of product in numerous markets. Horizontal integration in marketing is much more common than vertical integration is in production. Horizontal integration occurs when a firm is being taken over by, or merged with, another firm which is in the same industry and in the same stage of production as the merged firm, e.g. a car manufacturer merging with another car manufacturer. In this case both the companies are in the same stage of production and also in the same industry.

Convergence might affect the way audience consume film, it may increase a viewing at a cinema people may enjoy a game produced by the film company and game company so they are more likely to go and watch a film. A child might like a toy produced to promote a film so therefore they will be more likey to also go and watch a film. However it may affect the way audience consume film as more people will watch films online by the internet or on their mobiles so there would be less people going to a cinema to watch a film, they has also been a decrease in lag time between a film’s cinematic and DVD release. They is also an option to download a film online. The internet may also lead to online fan communties.
